This is the best season in Sofia. Warm without being too hot, sunny with some rain. Long days. Flowers.

And a new cat showed up in the yard. Or at least I don’t remember seeing her before.

I went to the concert yesterday. The stadium was packed, and they prepared some very nice visuals to complement the music.
However, I suffered big time standing at the front. By 10 pm, I was ready to go to bed. There’s a reason why half the crowd skipped the opening band, Anthrax.
Thankfully, Iron Maiden was the last big rock band I hadn’t seen, and now that I finally have, I can go back to live performances I actually enjoy, like opera and musicals.

I visited the official celebrations for 24th of May, the day of the Bulgarian Alphabet. Took photos but it was all cringe, with children walking under the rain and chanting as if it’s 1986 again.
The photo above is my best for the day and doesn’t feature any kids, priests, or nostalgia.
Bonus photo.

Iron Maiden is the last big old rock band that I wanted to see and haven’t yet. I hope we get lucky with the weather. It’s rainy and wet these days.
