Selfie from WordCamp Sofia

It was a great WordCamp!

My part was on the volunteers team, where I had a chance to meet some really nice folks. Happy that the organisers carried the torch and kept making camps so I had the opportunity to be there and even rejoin the team. Felt good.

Sofia-B

This beast is one of the few surviving Sofia-B cars. An engineer wanted to build a home-made sports car, followed his dream, and made it, although the car was eventually produced after the communism was over. I’m not sure what kind of enthusiasm is needed to want to build that thing in the latest years of the communism, when we had shortages of anything imaginable.

The Horse and His Cars

This is one of the most iconic places in Sofia, we used to call it “The Horse”. When I was a kid, I would frequently be asked which leg of the horse is up. When you think about it, there’s a horse and some dude on it, but are the legs up? Nobody knows.

Right there is where all the protests tend to go. The horse acts like a natural scene, and the symbolic parliament building is on the other side.

I’d like to see this parking turn into a walkable space, even if for the sake having better photos.
