Cats, good books, AI, and religious walking in the city of Sofia
Arch Enemy released the new version of Nemesis with Lauren Hart. It’s a completely different song, compared to the iconic 2008 version with Angela Gossow. I’d love to see the live performance. I think it would be quite nice because Lauren Hart radiates energy like a Tesla coil.
Of course, the bar is set very high.
I hope they come to Sofia.
Sounds like the departure of Alissa White-Gluz worked well for both parties. I already blogged how Alissa’s new work feels more like her, fresh and different. And here we are, Arch Enemy with Lauren Hart, performing as if she’s always been there. Their music sounds like a fantasy novel with dragons, hordes of orcs, and black magic.
Arch Enemy’s vocalist Alissa White-Glutz parted ways with the band and released a new single in a different type of metal. The style is not what we would expect from her, apart from an occasional growl. I’m not even sure what it is. Tried finding but the engines weren’t helpful. Reminds me of the gothic rock from the 90s and a favorite bands from that time like Lacrimosa and Lacuna Coil, with slow and simple sounds, not necessarily anything harsh.
I have to admit that this new song suits her well and I enjoy her recent work – both with Arch Enemy and without.
