Cats, good books, AI, and religious walking in the city of Sofia
Bulgaria celebrates Easter this weekend. To honor the holiday, we visited The Cross, and this was also our first hike for the year. The Cross eco path is a special hike for me because my 10K steps journey started there in 2023. Ultimately, counting steps changed my daily routine, my health, and inspired me to blog regularly again.

It’s difficult taking pictures of friendly cats because they come to you and don’t stare.
This Saturday, we had a chance to see the actual main event for the Kukeri in Blagoevgrad. They were thousands. The video and the photos can’t describe the sensory shock of getting close to these people. I’m glad to have had the chance to experience it, we normally leave Blagoevgrad earlier and miss it.
One can only imagine how terrifying the national event in Pernik called Surva is.

This fluffy ball is, I think, a restaurant cat. Lots of the restaurants here have semi-stray cats that would help the customers eat their meat, if they’re having difficulties. Meow.
