Knee

I did my first true long walk since I bumped my knee into a concrete trash can a week ago. 10K steps in one go and the knee held well. I dodged a bullet this time. However, I lost my shape, feeling as if I did 20K, not 10K.

The bin is now out of the way, hopefully it doesn’t hurt anyone else.

And speaking of trash, a the gallery below shows a pigeon eating steak, Wartburg 1.3, and a cat, resting on a pillow. Sofia is not very clean under our current leadership, whose battle with the cleaning companies shows.

Limping Park

I managed to do 3K steps today. My knee is better, only hurts when walking. The pain at rest is gone. However, I think I won’t be able to do the daily steps challenge for another week or so.

Meanwhile, the winter decided that it’s not over yet and surprised us with snow. The weather forecast says it will be summer within 3-4 days. Not sure who to trust on that. Sofia has this tendency to stay cold when the nearby mountains are covered with snow, and they will be for another month.

Count the Cats

Given that I keep reading books about Zombies, I think this photo is with the right mood. This is the abandoned pool in Blagoevgrad, in an area called The Beach. It was made like that by a concessionaire for reasons beyond comprehension and is probably not fixable with municipality’s current budget and organizational capacity.

The area suffers from a cat infestation.
