Name your top three pet peeves

Name your top three pet peeves.

Parked cars. Moving cars. Drivers.

Cars take so much space. They need wider roads, parkings, highways, bridges, traffic lights. That space can be better used. We can have bus stops, bike lanes, grass, mud, or even puddles full of grass, mud, frogs, and everything.

Moving cars tend to be dangerous. A cat stands no chance when hit by a car. The heaviest stroller wouldn’t provide any protection against the lightest of all cars. The EU keeps raising the requirements for pedestrian protection but the math is clear – most fatal car accidents involve cars. It is possible for two rapid pedestrians to crash and bump their heads but way less likely.

Car drivers would be number three. Driving is like the full moon for werewolves – turns ordinary kind humans into berserkers.

What will your life be like in three years?

What will your life be like in three years?

I believe we can plan the future and forecast the impact of our changes without committing to a prognosis how the future will look like. Any negative prediction would be fortune telling, and any positive prediction would be wishful thinking.

So, given that I don’t want to predict my own future, here’s some educated guesses about the future.

  • Everyone will be pretty pissed by how much AI we added everywhere but the AI bubble would still be inflating. There will be AI washing machines, AI refrigerators, and AI toilets in Japan, and they’ll not work better than the regular ones
  • Most Silent/Boomer political leaders who dominate the current scene will be out or on a painful way out and no longer taken seriously
  • Electric cars will become more mainstream

What does it mean to be a kid at heart?

What does it mean to be a kid at heart?

Kids play and act like everything is guaranteed to be alright. They hold onto items worth nothing and make it feel like they’re worth everything. Kids smile and cry. They make friends quickly. They fight, forgive, forget, and fight again. They are impatient.

I think most of these qualities are lost for a good reason. But we can smile more and live for the moment when appropriate. We can read books and relive the fun, ignoring the not-fun. We can play.

Have I shared that there will be a new HoMM game next year? I’ll block some time on my calendar to feel like a 15-year-old when it goes live 🙂

What is your favorite form of physical exercise?

What is your favorite form of physical exercise?

Torn between pull-ups and hiking.

Pull-ups are great, you against your weight. Each cookie and chocolate bar you ever ate pulls you down. Your will pulls you up. Who will win? However, I lost my ability to do pull-ups about a year ago and it is not on my list of things to do next year. Which leaves us with hiking.

Hiking is like walking but you’re somewhere far from computers, wifi, work, city life, cars, and many of the stress factors. You against a hill. Or against your thoughts. Much better.

Just a cool photo from before I became a car brain. Not sure why Photos decided to show that to me. The shadow in the mist is Glozhene Monastery.

This was likely from my old blog, maybe 15 to 20 years ago. I can’t reach Malyovitza these days but whatever I can reach, I do in a similar fashion. Jeans, LOL. So inappropriate. Some things never change.
