It’s difficult to imagine this chain of events, but here we are, documented with a photo.
A hot water pipe bursts. One person puts a used tire in the pool, another hangs a red-white striped warning tape to indicate that. If you cross that hot pool, please use the tire.
It’s dark and rainy.
Resident cat acts as a life guard, watching carefully 😳 😳 😳 – no swimming.

Not sure why cats hang in wet grass like that, but they seem to not mind it.
That’s what internet was born for, sharing such sweet things ❤️

Had a nice talk with an ex-pat from Bulgaria at the bar yesterday. He was with his son and they were bemoaning the difficulties young people face in our country. He came here through Nigeria in the 80’s. We talked about our current political trends towards both oligarchy and socialism and how it will be the young people who have to figure it all out.

Your friend is unlikely to be familiar with the state of affairs in Bulgaria, since he left 40 years ago 🙂
We have oligarchy as well. Things are not ideal here, although no ICE, but similar tendencies and general direction.

I think it’s probably the whole world. His view was we will all eventually end up being taken care of by our governments to prevent revolution, but it will be at a bare minimum of essentials, and don’t get on your leader’s bad side. It was just interesting to talk to someone who came from a different system than capitalism and sees America heading in the same direction, mainly because of the inability of most folks, especially young folks, to make ends meet.
