My team had a meetup in Nürnberg. It’s not a bad location for business meetups – plenty of hotels, a variety of restaurants, and a passable mix of touristy and livable to accommodate an event. You don’t want to go to a place that’s completely non-touristy because the hotels and restaurants won’t be good. You don’t want a place that’s too touristy because it will be too expensive. This city was in the middle for us and that part worked well. Added bonus – it’s walkable, the public transport seems to be good, you won’t blow your budget on transportation.
So, Nürnberg is fine. But November is dark and cold. Most of my photos here are from the sunny day, and by sunny, I mean 4-5 hours of a blue sky. The other days, I preferred to keep my hands inside the pockets. My stress level was high and the steps count was low. This part was not fine. Other months and circumstances would produce better results. Warmer weather would make the beer shine.
I’m glad to be back home.
