I used to work not far from this place. Would buy a pizza slice for lunch, sit on a bench, and watch sparrows and pigeons compete for breadcrumbs. Sparrows would always outsmart the pigeons.

Cats, good books, AI, and religious walking in the city of Sofia

Of course I had to google this church (hello, kitty!). What a fascinating history! Added it to my list of places to visit for when I finally get to visit Sofia.

The church itself is not special at all. However, going around, doing circles, reveals the heart of the non-touristy part of the center.
There’s some good food. I spent a significant portion of my life around there. My high school is under 10 min walking away, for example. Restaurants and fast food places where I’ve had lunch hundreds of times.
There is (or at least was) a place where you can have ice cream while sitting next to a samurai (cosplayer).

The sparrows won out? Do tell. Were they just quicker or what was their method?
