The fall is coming. The flowers are being replaced by falling fruit. It’s less blog-worthy. The previous generations didn’t imagine a situation in which fruits will rot on the ground.
Beautiful photo. We’re topsy-turvy where I live. Crops will be planted in the next month or so. Right now, plants are deep shades of green, but there’s much less flowering than there will be during the winter. Seasonal changes are so subtle. I miss autumn colors.
And I agree, there’s something very sad about fallen fruit.

I’m not brave enough to try making jam. I’ll always remember the amount of fruit jam that my grandparents’ generation made.

Oh yes, my grandmother made fig jam. Loved it.

My grandfather made gooseberry wine. I can’t even believe that’s a thing now.

That is why I dislike fall, winter and early spring. I really dislike being without all the green, the flowers, the trees etc. I wish it could be green summer all year long.
