This is Budapeshta Street (named after Budapest), one of the most hipster areas of Sofia where the new and old live together. Lots of restaurants and small businesses and not as many tourists as elsewhere.

New graffiti, an old house, and a giant ancient hole between the two, filled with Roman ruins.
Sounds like a cool place to hang out

The whole neighborhood is one of the best in the central area, although visitors who are used to better maintained buildings may not appreciate it 🙂

It used to be almost like a ghetto, then 20-25 years ago the close proximity to the center started a process of gentrification.
