I’ve been trying to learn to sharpen things for a long time. That’s how I got into woodworking-sharpening plane irons. It really does take some soul, it’s not anything you can master in a day or a week or maybe even a lifetime. I’m gettin’ better at it, tho’.

Because it’s there. And sharpening is needed. And if no sharpening is really needed, it’s there.

Probably ran out of ordinary places for claw sharpening due to an excess of other cats around.

I’ve never tried it. I tend to cut myself when working with blades.

There’s something magical there, but also something very utilitarian, forged by someone that doesn’t care about you.

I used to watch Forged in Fire and considered trying forging myself. Thankfully, I didn’t go that way 🙂 looks like an expensive hobby
