Honestly, as I age, travel becomes less and less interesting. One country I’d like to visit is a country I’ve been to already – Japan. I would enjoy spending a real vacation there, rather than just visiting for 3 days, which is my current experience.
It’s just so different than Bulgaria. I’d love to spend a few weeks there with my family.

I can only imagine how cool it must be! I never went to Japan, but it’s in my top list!

I’ve only been to Kyoto, which I’d love visiting again.
I’d also like to visit a sumo tournament. See the Yokozuna from a distance.

I have this geography game I play daily… you have to guess the country based only on the shape… and yesterday it was Bulgaria. It asks follow on questions… neighbors, Capital, GDP, flag, etc. I was amazed to learn that Sofia goes back to 7000 BC! 😮 Love your hiking pix 😎

Thanks! The hot springs made the area very popular in the olden days, I guess 🙂

I’m with you on the travel. It’s difficult, it’s expensive, and I love to be in my home environs. I’m not saying wanting to interact with other cultures is wrong, and tourism is definitely the lifeblood of much of the world, but travel seems to have become a status symbol, and like anything it’s the natives and the land who pay the price for the whims of the rich and bored.

I would love to go to Japan, too. To study the interesting culture and traditions and to eat the amazing food. I would like to travel japan for 6 month but i think its too difficult to get a visa for sich a long saty.
