I’m having trouble keeping up with the step count these days. The first snow fell on the mountain and it’s very dark, unpleasant, and cold outside, even though objectively, it’s not even close to freezing. Same time in January, I would find +4° to +10° C t-shirt weather, and I’m now going out with a winter jacket.
This is how I feel every time I manage to go out for steps:

Same here. Add the school plagues, and the annual weight-gain and detraining roller coaster is on tour again.

It’s a psychological problem mostly, I think. Cold weather is better for outdoor training than hot weather. I can do more steps and faster.

Physiology says “yes”. Still, I’d rather run in 33°C than in 3°C.

It’s somehow not a problem for me to walk when it’s -5 but I’m used to it than +4 in October

You’re not alone struggling to get in those steps. This year has been somewhat bad for me as well. It will improve, sometime next year when I’m finally getting a dog!

The dog won’t give you the chance to stay inside when it’s cold. Still want a big dog?

Cats are great animals too. Major cuddle bugs if you’re lucky ❤️
