Daily writing prompt
You get to build your perfect space for reading and writing. What’s it like?
The perfect space for reading for me is my bed. I can read some and fall asleep. Most books make me sleepy, and the ones that keep me awake make me happy. It’s a win-win.
As for writing, I’m not sure. Last time I wrote a book was before Internet was a thing. I’ve tried writing some short stories after but, let’s say, I couldn’t figure out the right space. Maybe I need something appropriate, like a medieval castle with a Rapunzel tower.

Currently reading Infinity Gate, an unusual sci-fi that has good and bad moments. I hope it gets a separate blog post.
I love reading in bed, but the older I get, the harder it is to make progress. I inevitably fall asleep when I try to read most books these days.

Sleeping is time well spent anyway:)

Especially when you don’t sleep through the night.

This doesn’t sound good. If reading starts messing up with my sleep schedule, I’ll change it.
I have the tendency to not sleep enough so falling asleep a bit earlier is fine for me.

Well, I wake up to go to the bathroom, or because one of our dogs wants to come into the bedroom. He jumps up on my husband and acts like the Tasmanian Devil before he settles down to sleep.

A spinning dog doesn’t sound great for sleeping. Had cat issues in the past. Cats can be very playful at night.

Well, he was a street dog, and never had a real home before we took him in. He’s become very attached to my husband, but for some reason, he doesn’t just spend the whole night with us. I have a feeling he’ll eventually just go to bed with us. Our other dog prefers sleeping in his own bed, in his own room. Thank God for that, because he’s pretty huge and would take up most of our bed. He also sheds a lot.
