If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

Something like Starbucks. Expensive drinks, some snacks, and outlets for people to charge their devices. Convenient for remote workers to hang out for hours.

I even looked into it about a decade ago, but the investment needed was absurd. It’s more like a comfortable fantasy than a business plan.

      1. Yeah, that’s a weird business idea, right? That’s a reason why it did not really work. However, we do have some dog friendly cafés in Sweden these days. The biggest chain, Espresso House allow dogs, but they do not offer dog biscuits etc.

I’m glad I did not go through with it. I would’ve failed miserably.

      2. So, for me the process was as follows. I checked how much would it cost to open Starbucks. For Bulgaria, it required 500 000 Euro + 3 years of experience owning a coffee shop. This closed the case 🙂 I believe the real problem was that I don’t think I want to own a cafe, I want to work from one that feels comfortable, and they aren’t.

The Starbucks I use doesn’t even have its own toilet. It’s not remote-workers friendly unless you have someone with you.

  1. You never know what amazing things might happen when you pursue your dreams. If this is what you truly want to do, I’m cheering for you, and I’ll keep your dreams in my prayers.
