The Reader is the primary reason why I can keep being motivated to blog. Found many nice folks there, and some found me. It gives me likes and comments I didn’t have with my previous blog, which had better SEO and far more visitors.
The Reader link was rebranded from “Read” to an icon some months ago, which made it less recognizable. It’s now back as a O^O Reader. I’m thankful to the folks who put the text back. I hope more bloggers discover it this way because the tool is quickly improving.
Are you using the reader in or the one in the WordPress app itself? I’m experimenting.

I use both and I report everything I don’t like to the people who work on them (and you can too, the repository is open source).
I prefer the web reader because it allows me to change the letter size but both made significant improvements over the last months.
Also, with the web, I can control the photo size. A photo that’s 7-8MB takes too much space.

Sorry-the reader in Jetpack or in the one in the app? Or both?

Mostly Jetpack, though I’m disappointed with both apps compared to the full WordPress version.

The Reader is not a WordPress feature. It’s an aggregator for blogs, and only a tiny fraction of all WordPress websites are blogs.
In any case, what is disappointing? I can forward any specific and constructive feedback about stuff that doesn’t meet your expectations.

This change is for the web app

The reader is the best feature of WordPress.com! I absolutely agree with you there. Almost all of my visits come from the reader.
Thanks for sharing 😊

I must have misunderstood. I thought the screen you were showing was a message sent to you from WP. Have a great day.
