We have this jay that seems to love attacking windows, cats, and probably people each spring. To my knowledge, this is because they get aggressive when young jays hatch. Although it’s too soon for the little jays to be born, we had some window-smashing today and I expect that to last for at least another month, until the end of May.

The bird is tiny, it can’t break anything. It just attacks the window over and over, and if I knock the window, it tries to attack my hand.

looks quite different from the bluejays we have in Canada even if there are a few blue feathers there.

All of them look like this here. Apart from the puffy head, this one puffs like an angry cat.
I had maybe 6-7 calls over the last 2 days, and it crashed (with the window) during maybe 5 of them.
