For whatever reason, I mostly watch videos about tricky math but this one caught my eye despite being so out of my element. It’s wonderful. John Oliver talks about generative AI spam.
I also no longer read blog posts that use AI imagery as long as I can recognize it as AI, which normally takes me a few milliseconds. I know the image may represent an idea and it might be clever, good, it can be anything. I just stop and move on with my life.
Say it with me. No money, no machines. Everything else will eventually eat itself.

There are these awful attention seeking share-baits about Novak Djokovic and Dr. Marek that I can clearly see are AI, and yet there are so many people falling for them, and I’m not sure if they do not see it the way I see it, or they just want to believe they are indeed helping.

And what are the AI-generated million clones of exiting viral videos or images, like gluing 3 together with some crop, adding an AI narrator and so on? When I open Facebook, 90% of the videos it attempts to promote to me are like that.
